Grilled Chicken Chop

Ingredients:-

  • 2 pieces of Chicken thigh meat*

  • 1 teaspoon of light soya sauce*

  • a pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper*

  • 1 teaspoon of bbq sauce/marinating sauce/oyster sauce*

Method:-

In a ziplock bag, combine the chicken thigh, light soya sauce, pinch of salt and pepper and bbq sauce. Marinate the chicken inside the ziplock bag. chilled inside the fridge for half an hour. while waiting, prepare the brown sauce.

Ingredients for the brown sauce:-

  • 500ml water*

  • 1/2 chicken stock cube*

  • 1 1/2 tablespoon of all purpose flour

  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce

  • 2 teaspoon of freshly ground black pepper

  • 1 tablespoon of dark soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon of tomato sauce

  • pinch of salt to taste

Method:-

  • Above (*) boil water and add the chicken stock cube. Add in flour and whisk everything using a balloon whisk and making sure the flour mix evenly with the chicken stock.

  • Add oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, tomato sauce. simmer till it comes to a boil.

  • Add salt and freshly ground black pepper.

  • if the sauce seems watery, mix a teaspoon of corn starch to 2 teaspoon of water, mix together and add into the brown sauce.

Sides: baguettes, mushroom potage soup, stir fried asparagus
